Winter action - all the year round - is possible at the Stubaier Gletscher (glacier) at an altitude of 1750 to 3333 m. The ski resort offers 24 lifts - among them 11 chairlifts and gondolas as well three "magic carpets" for our little skiers.

The ski-roundabout at the Schaufelspitze connects the sunny slopes at the Gaißkar with the powder snow runs of Fernau-Ferners. Carvers and snowboarders will find unlimited possibilities. In total Austria's largest glacial ski resort offers winter sport fans 110 km of slopes for all levels of ability. Skiers, carvers and snowboarders will enjoy the great programme including a racing trail, an ice-climbing tower and cosy restaurants - and all of that in the middle of the impressive panorama of the Stubaier Alps.

The two Intersport shops are a special feature of the Stubaier glacier which many winter sport fans have come to appreciate. Here a snow freak will be able to get everything s/he needs: skis or snowboards, short carvers or Big Foots, fashionable clothes, equipment for people who go on ski tours, for cross-country skiers and ice-climbers. Guests who don't have equipment of their own or who don't feel like carrying their "hardware" around, can lease and deposit everything at the Intersport shops at Eisgrat and Gamsgarten.

In December 2001 the unique Ski Club Micky Mouse was opened. Here professional skiing instructors will teach kids (4 years +) in a playful manner how to ski, kids (3 years +) who don't ski yet will be looked after in the Ski Club Micky Mouse Play Paradise and will be spoiled at lunch at the nearby Ski Club Micky Mouse Clubhouse. While the little ones enjoy themselves in the Ski Club Micky Mouse, the parents can ski freely on the 110 km of slopes.
